Is there really a difference between Isochronic Tones and Binaural Beat? Well, let’s find out!
In my experience brainwave entrainment has helped in many ways. It hasn’t only been a transformation tool just me, it has helped so many other people I have known and read about.
The commonality of each type of brainwave entrainment is that it’s working to heal and help others transform their lives.
What is the Difference Between Isochronic Tones and Binaural Beats?
The difference between Isochronic tones and Binaural beats is the way it is translated in the brain. Binaural beats final tone or frequency is the combination of two beats.
An example of this is if the right ear has 125 Hz and the left ear is playing 155 Hz then the difference is 30 Hz.
When it comes to playing Isochronic tones the tone is already playing in your ear, your brain does not have to convert two frequencies to make one tone, you will ultimately hear.
In other words, the tones on the left and right ear are the same and are also understood by the brain clearly.
Isochronic tones also have a pulsating rhythm to it. The final common difference is that most Isochronic tones do not require stereo headphone (but encouraged), with binaural beats, it is a must.
What are Binaural Beats and Isochronic Tones?
Both binaural beats and isochronic tone are brainwave entrainment tools. They both help you exercise different frequencies within your brain and strength both left and right hemisphere of the brain.
Whole-brain thinking is the ideal result of training both hemispheres. It is said that the best scientists and inventors exercised whole-brain thinking to create and innovate new ideas.
Binaural beats and Isochronic tones have been known to help reduce and eliminate the most brain imbalances like ADD, ADHD, anxiety, just to name a few. From my experience of using both binaural beats as well as Isochronic tones, most of my brain imbalances have disappeared.
It was not a quick fix or an overnight cure, but these entrainment tools taught my brain how to maneuver quickly to the condition where I could arrive at a more balanced state of mind.
Do Binaural Beats Work Without Headphones?
As I mentioned before, binaural beats are very unique in the way it functions. The ultimate sound and frequency are not derived when the beats first travel through your ear.
It is interpreted and perceived in a manner that only the brain itself is able to perceive it. The frequency that is understood is a subtraction between different frequencies delivered to each ear.
The brain can never do that without having each ear being isolated with its unique frequency. That can only be done with the use of stereo headphones. The good news is that most headphones nowadays are equipped with the ability to hear music in stereo form.
How Do Binaural Beats Work
Binaural beats is basically a false impression or auditory delusion the brain is making with the two different tones being delivered into each ear.
Binaural beats have been around for quite some time. The first discovery of binaural beats within the early 1800s. If was not made practical for people to deliberately use for a brain entrainment tool until the mid-1900s.
It was publicly introduced to the masses in a scientific publication in 1973. This brainwave entrainment has been known to give individuals out of the body and spiritual experiences.
It is also had its practical uses of helping the brain relax, eliminate, anxiety and induce serotonin, dopamine and lower the amount of cortisol that is produced in the body.
How Do Isochronic Tones Work
Although Isochronic tones come from the brainwave entrainment family it behaves a bit different than binaural beats. So, what is so different about Isochronic tones?
The most obvious difference is the pulsating effect of Isochronic tones rather than the steady like tones binaural beats produces. And of course, the fact that having headphones to benefit from Isochronic tones is not mandatory.
Just like binaural beats you are able to get the brainwaves that are appropriate to what you are trying, change, alleviate or master. There are many brain imbalances that do not allow you to be your best.
The best way to move forward with your success in life is to train your brain frequently and consistently. That is were brainwave entrainment like Isochronic tone comes into play. You can retrain your brain whether you are cleaning your room or relaxing, depending on what your goals are.
Do Isochronic Tones Work Without Headphones?
The great thing about Isochronic Tones is the cost and time you save when listening to them. You don’t have to worry about buying the right headphones that will allow you to take advantage of each frequency.
You don’t have to worry about staying in one place because you have some huge headphones on your head that do not give you mobility. You also can enhance your training by exposing your brain to different types of entrainment.
Just like training in the gym, if you do the same exercises in the same certain manner your mobility will suffer. If you train your body in different types of exercises you are able to function more fluidly in whatever physical challenge you may have. This can be applied to your brain as well.
What are Isochronic Tones Used For?
Isochronic tones are used to entrain the brain, specifically brainwaves. You can train them to function in an
- Alpha State
- Theta State
- Gamma State (depending on what you are aiming for.)
My experience with brainwave entrainment is that you do not have to use these tools forever. You will soon understand how to get to the given brainwave that you are aiming for.
I use to be able to tune into my brainwaves and focus on the brainwave that I needed.
- Play Sports
- Train in a capacity where my current state could not handle the intensity of the training.
I could feel the shift that allowed me to peek to my perfection but not has to feel the pain and anxiety that comes from traveling to those states of mind.
Isochronic Tones Benefits
The benefits of Isochronic tones are vast and has been very transformation to many individuals. What I find extremely curious is how there are many studies that have not given enough, if no credit to brainwave entrainment tools.
Brainwave entrainment tools which include binaural beats and Isochronic tones have helped many people to reduce or even eliminate anxiety, depression, some mental illnesses, fatigue, insomnia, and many more imbalances in the body and mind.
They have helped individuals lose weight, become more creative and increase their overall memory. Isochronic tones, as well as binaural beats, have helped people maintain and surpass a meditative state they never thought could be possible.
It has given those that wished to lucid dream or perhaps maintain a certain state so they can venture off and astral project.
Overall brainwave entrainment, which includes isochronic tones, as well as binaural beats, have help individuals entrain their brains to surpass their god-given capacities and talents.
Isochronic tones help fix brainwave frequencies that are not in tune with the correct brainwaves which allows you to function in a healthier manner.
If you are producing brainwave frequencies that are in tune with anxiety, isochronic tones will help you retune your brainwaves to produce frequencies that are more intact with relaxation and peace.
Isochronic Tone Problems
Isochronic tones are not as serious as people think they are. In fact, brainwave entrainment is not as serious, better yet dangerous as people anticipate.
Most people label something dangerous or infected with problems when they do not understand it or the benefits are not a common state of mind in life.
Although not fully explained, the problems that Isochronic tones have are pretty much the same problems that binaural beats have.
These problems can occur in an individual that has had seizures and epilepsy. It may be a problem or concern with an individual that has suffered from some sort of brain damage or injury and it could affect mothers during their pregnancy terms.
Although that is one of the warnings of brainwave entrainment, except for the seizures and epilepsy, I have used brainwave entrainment during my pregnancy and when I suffered from a brain injury.
I think both times brainwave entrainment audio has helped me pass through both of these uncomfortable and at one point painful and confusing moments.
Besides those disclaimers, isochronic tones as well as binaural beats guide you to your wholeness and allow you to obtain your full potential.
Binaural beats and Isochronic Tones at the Same Time
Both binaural beats and isochronic tones do the same thing but in a different way. One has a steady frequency (binaural beats) while the other (isochronic tones) functions by having its frequency delivered through fast audio pulsation.
It is of course of up to the user how they want to receive their brainwave entrainment, but from the different users that have tried binaural beats and isochronic tones, most agree that the surest mode to receive the benefit from brainwave entrainment is to use binaural beats with headphones or isochronic tones with headphones.
Mixing both is possible and can be a good idea, but it has to be used in a deliberate way.
The mixture of both must serve the same purpose. Either way, both can benefit the user with the use of headphones.
Because binaural beats are supposed to be used with headphones it would be best to stick with or use binaural beats as your primary source of brainwave entrainment audio with your Isochronic tones.
When it comes to knowing whether binaural beats and isochronic tones are the same, they serve the same purpose, but in different auditory ways. If done right, it can be mixed to enhance your experience.
Isochronic Tones Better than Binaural Beats
There is a debate between these two most popular brainwave entrainment audios. Some say that Isochronic tones are the improved version of binaural beats. The pulsation frequencies allow the brain to respond more effectively to the entrainment.
Since binaural beats have a steady frequency, advocates of isochronic tones say that the brain gets used to the steady flow of frequencies and stops yielding its effectiveness.
Others feel as though binaural beats is the ultimate brainwave entrainment audio, which will provide the most benefits to its users. Regardless of the claims, there has not been a complete study on which brainwave entrainment is better.
I think that switching forms or modes of entrainment will help the brain to not get used to the stimulus, rendering both extremely useful. Switching periodically, allow extended benefits from both, for a longer time than if you just use one mode of entrainment every single day.
Perhaps using binaural beats for a week or month and switching to another form of entrainment will provide the best results.
Does Brainwave Entrainment Really Work?
Yes, brainwave entrainment really does work for its users. Brainwave entrainment works for a group of people individually. What do I mean by that? Well, it depends on how much you trust in the tools that brainwave entrainment has to offer.
There have been many studies that have given people placebos that have made them better. And there have also been studies that have given people the actual medicine to make them, (the patient) better, but because of the belief that it will not work, it ended up not working for the patient.
Just like anything, it also depends on the frequency and the constancy in using the given brainwave entrainment. Whatever your need may be (within the construct of its use) brainwave entrainment can help you move towards fulfilling your needs and wants.
Of course, action needs to be taken place. Merely using brainwave entrainment audio is not going to magically give you what you need. The actions needed to obtain these states of fulfillment must be exercised.
Both binaural beats and isochronic tones were created to serve you. You can choose how it will help you become the best version of you. Depending on your preference and most importantly, your budget, you can choose which brainwave entrainment will help you achieve your goals.
For the most part, binaural beats have a lower price tag, due to the age of its development and the tools available to make them. But that does not mean they are not any better than other pricey brainwave entrainment tools.
If you need to start somewhere with a limited amount of cash, start with binaural beats and if you feel comfortable expanding to other entrainment tools, then at least you have a reference point.
Overall don’t be stuck on which is better, because you will never start your journey. Just start somewhere and enjoy the process of your future transformation.
What Frequency are Good for Concentration?
If you want to focus on something and be in a full state of concentration, the frequency and brainwave you should maintain are Gamma. Gamma brainwaves range in between 38 and about 100 Hz.
Is Isochronic Tones Safe for Babies?
Isochronic tones are safe for babies to use. As long as it is not played too loud and they are frequencies that claim your child and perhaps put them to sleep. Babies and most children will love the sounds that isochronic tones and binaural beats generate.
